The Bro Jackson Jukebox Club: Playlists for people.

The government shut down today and you know that. The National Zoo and the Smithsonians are closed. It’s real out here.

After a beefy filibuster, the Bro Jackson staff agreed in principal on song selections for the official Government Shutdown ’13 playlist. I went ahead and nixed Cee-Lo’s “Fuck You” because that thing puts me in a terrible mood. We have anti-government punk and metal; pop from both sides of the aisle; appropriate rap that gets equal parts political and delicious; experimental art rock; and, of course, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” because it applies to most situations.[ref]Funerals, baseball pennants, NASA, NASCAR, when robots appear in your rearview mirror, 9/11 truthers, “Major League 2,” “The Ballad of John and Yoko.”[/ref]

Enjoy, subscribe, etc.
